Picture this: November 2024, London. I'd just been made redundant from my charity sector role (thanks, gov funding cuts), and there I was - another 20-something trying to figure out my next move. So I did what any sensible, slightly panicked girl would do: online shopping, obviously.

As I scrolled through endless overpriced press-ons I was shooketh. Why were we paying near enough the same price for press-ons, as salon nails? The cheaper options? Absolute trash that looked nothing like the pics
(you know exactly what I'm talking 'bout).

Enter my uni mate (shoutout to late-night library sessions), who helped me crack the code: salon-quality, handcrafted nails without the ridiculous markups. We tracked down the exact same factories supplying those fancy £20+ brands. Same materials. Same techniques. Just without the “designer” label tax and fancy packaging.

I started flogging them on TikTok from my tiny London flat, not expecting much. Cut to me now, still pinching myself at how this snowballed!
